Summary:
  • Bybit has partnered with Laevitas in a venture built around data. We discuss the benefits it brings to the two companies.

Bybit exchange has announced a strategic partnership with Laevitas, a data analytics platform that offers quantitative finance models for the cryptocurrency industry. In working together, the two companies hope to improve their standing in the digital assets sector. Particularly, Laevitas will provide readily available and digestible data analytics on Bybit’s expanding options market. On the other hand, Bybit will feed real-time data into the analytics platform. Therefore, the partnership is quite synergistic.

What the deal means for Bybit and Laevitas

Laevitas’s dedication to providing insightful market analytics will complement Bybit’s emphasis on high-precision trading with real-time market data sent every 20 milliseconds. In the realm of digital currency, Laevitas provides a platform for quantitative data analytics, making this partnership essential. The company collects, analyzes, and presents data to its customers from a wide variety of sources. To help consumers make better data-driven decisions, it gathers and organizes both historical and real-time data.

Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit says:

“Even as we have expanded our offerings to include spot pairs, NFTs, and passive income products, we have not lost sight of our roots and continued to offer the best crypto derivatives, perpetuals, and now options in the market.”

Bybit’s high-volume futures, perpetual, and the new USDC-margined options contracts all have data sets available on Laevitas. Furthermore, users can settle and trade using USDC in Bybit’s options contracts without actually owning the underlying crypto asset. Therefore, these contracts are significantly less volatile.

Recently, Bybit released a guide on options trading titled “How to Hedge with Crypto Options to Maximize Gains during BTC Uncertainty,” which coincides with the launch of this new partnership. The guide is a web-based mentorship program that walks both new and seasoned traders through a wide variety of options strategies. It pairs particularly well with the trading tools offered by Laevitas.
