Coca-Cola and Crypto.com to Create World Cup NFT Memorabilia

Coca-Cola and Crypto.com have teamed up to create a series of NFT artworks based on the individual ‘heatmaps’ generated by each team’s successful on-field attacks, tackles, and goals. The NFTs will be primarily designed by GMUNK, a prominent digital artist who has been active in the industry for over 20 years.

In addition, the Crypto.com NFT platform will provide the infrastructure for developing and hosting the platform.  The unique NFTs celebrate memorable moments during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and are created by monitoring player movements during games.

Coca-Cola and its commitment to spicing up the FIFA World Cup

Coca-Cola has been a consistent sponsor of international sporting events for many years. As part of its mission to continue providing fans with wonderful moments during the World Cup, it is collaborating with Crypto.com through an initiative that mixes art and football. According to GMUNK, the central concept behind Coca-Cola’s “Piece of Magic” is to “use football data as our paintbrush.” It is defining densities, behaviors, and applications of color to shape and create an immersive work of art that celebrates the spirit of football and depicts a visual story different for each match.

As a result of the partnership with GMUNK, 10,000 exquisite and unique NFTs will be made available to fans. All around the world, football enthusiasts can watch the NFTs after creating an account on the Crypto.com NFT platform. If you’re a fan and you want the chance to win a Coca-Cola ‘Piece of Magic’ NFT commemorating the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, all you have to do is register on Coca- Cola’s Fanzone page and click on the NFT banner.

This year’s Wold Cup is the first time that Web3 has been used in a major global sporting event. Coca-Cola has set up a fan zone to add to the overall experience of the competition. In honour of this year’s FIFA World Cup, it allows supporters to talk about how they feel, what games they’re looking forward to, and what memories they hope to create.
