BitCard and Blackhawk Network Partner to Offer Bitcoin Gift Cards

BitCard, a technology company on a mission to ease the purchase of cryptocurrency, has announced a new partnership with Blackhawk Network (BHN), a market leader in branded payment technology. The partnership will enable BitCard to leverage BHN’s vast retail network and strong Business-to-Business ecosystem to offer its Bitcoin Gift Cards at select U.S. retailers.

The partnership is certainly a strategic move, aiming to give BitCard users greater value for their usage of the platform. According to the two companies, the rollout will go live in the next few days, and will be a game changer in the crypto payments ecosystem.

A win-win partnership for BitCard and BHN

This is not a lopsided partnership. The two companies are building a synergistic collaboration that will result in mutual gains for both of them. Both BitCard and BHN will benefit from this partnership. While BitCard is bringing BHN’s network one of the first Bitcoin products, BHN will be raising BitCard’s profile to facilitate more widespread use of Bitcoin.

Also, this partnership will broaden BHN’s product selection by enabling BHN’s retail partners, loyalty program administrators, airlines, and other affiliates to buy BitCards and include them in their existing line of products and consumer services.

Steve Dekker, Managing Director, Americas, Blackhawk Network says:

” This marks an exciting step for Blackhawk within the world of crypto, and we’re delighted to offer our vast network a new and innovative gift card option. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this partnership will have on our industry.”

The two firms have merging interests

BitCard,  developed by Bitcoin Solutions Inc, is on a mission to make Bitcoin and cryptocurrency easy for consumers to access. The BitCard rollout will provide BHN partners with yet another leading gift card option. Its aim is to become the most accessible, interoperable method to purchase Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

The BitCard says that it not only prioritises efficiency in enabling easy access to crypto, but also ensures that transactions are done in a highly secure platform.
