Create-to-earn DAO launchpad and NFT marketplace Minnapad, which gives users access to prominent Japanese creators, has announced the launch of its first two DAOs for 2023. Two of Japan’s renowned game developers will be involved in the launch’s initial phase. It will enable followers to work together on legendary DAO initiatives and obtain ownership of exciting new IPs from their heroes.
The first DAO will be a collaboration between Minnapad and Keiji Inafune, and will see the release of the new IP called BEASTROID across several platforms, including NFTs, video games, comics, animation, and physical media. The Brain Fighter creator, Mr. Seiichi Ishii, will be the second partner.
Furthermore, Minnapad says it has a lot more in store after the releases of BEASTROID and BRAIN FIGHTER. Fans, publishers, and artists all have a say in the future of the BEASTROID and BRAIN FIGHTER intellectual properties, thanks to the DAO’s democratic structure.
Beastroid by Inafune
Mr. Inafune’s DAO introduces new heroes set in a captivating post-apocalyptic environment in which humans must struggle to stay alive. During his time at Capcom, Mr. Inafune is best remembered for developing the series’ iconic visual style and creating a number of games in the Mega Man series. He is driving the new initiative forward with his enthusiasm for invention.
The initial BEASTROID NFT collection has received a new life thanks to a collaboration between Minnapad and Mr. Inafune. In the near future, they plan to add value to the Minnapad ecosystem by enabling current holders to participate in a DAO membership presale. In the “BEASTROID” game, the only way for humankind to get to Paradise is with the help of mechanical beasts known as “BEASTROID.” The project’s creators believes that this DAO will give rise to many new IPs, like BEASTROID.
Afterward, Minnapad will release BRAIN FIGHTER, an IP starring fighters who use brain waves to fight. Tekken and Virtua Fighter creator Seiichi Ishii will be in charge of this project, which is planned for the second quarter of 2023.
Mr. Ishii is widely regarded as a visionary designer who, among other things, co-created Virtua Fighter and worked on many Tekken and Tobal games. With his next original IP game, he customizes the legacy of classic fighting games to a modern system.
In the Brain Fighter universe, small robots called Brain Fighters are all the rage, and their owners control them with nothing more than their thoughts. Each player assumes the role of protagonist, leading their squad of Brain Fighters into battle against those of their opponents in a tag-team fashion.
Minnapad’s collaborations with Mr. Inafune and Mr. Ishii mark the beginning of the launchpad’s mission to become the preeminent platform connecting ordinary Japanese content enthusiasts with legendary Japanese artists, dubbed “Legends.”
As the Minnapad audience grows, the business is thinking of launching more anime and video game-related DAOs. In the following months, they will disclose additional details regarding Episode 1, which will feature collections from Legends Mr. Inafune and Mr. Ishii.
