Baron Davis Joins Crypto.com NFT

Crypto.com NFT announced it will work with Baron Davis Enterprises, founded by the entrepreneur and two-time NBA All-star Baron Davis, for an exclusive NFT drop focused on Black Santa. Baron Davis’s intellectual property and a  lead character in his multimedia company, UWish. The collection is set to be released at Crypto.com/NFT on December 17 2021.

Davis intends to donate a percentage of the proceeds from the NFT sales to the Los Angeles Urban League, an institution that fosters economic empowerment for African Americans and other marginalized communities.

Davis created Black Santa from the inspiration he received after dressing up as Santa one Halloween with the main aim of celebrating diversity in storytelling via interactive content. Creating a world of characters and narrating contemporary stories that mirror cultural change, Black Santa is also involved in charitable support for various organizations and causes. Davis is a former point guard for the Golden State Warriors, the Hornets, the Cleveland Cavaliers,  the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers, alongside his Black Santa team, have previously hosted many charity events like celebrity basketball tournaments with guests including  Metta World Peace, Famous Los, Ice Cube, Tyga, B.Dot, and Matt Barnes since the company was formed in 2016.

This year, black Santa intends to produce a whole month of winter wonderland activation in December and a basketball game featuring celebrities, athletes and influencers for charity, a block party, a karaoke night with Jordin Sparks, a tree lighting ceremony and a launch party for Crypto.com NFT drop.

The Black Santa company also provides other products like Christmas ornaments, books and an original album, The Black Santa Winter Wonderland Mixtape, and Black Santa & CeCe Save Christmas by Davis and Jesse Byrd, a children’s author. In addition, there are several developed characters in Black Santa Universe, like Mrs C and ‘STEM whiz’ black Santas partner, who will be featured in the Crypto.com NFT collection.

Crypto.com recently purchased the naming rights for the Los Angeles arena that the  Kings and Sparks, Clippers and Lakers call home.

Crypto.com’s arena logo will be, unveiled on Christmas day. The company has taken the lead in digital sports collectibles after releasing NFT’s with the top leagues, teams and athletes like the ongoing drops series with the NBA team and a collection with streetballer The professor.
