Decentralized blockchain interoperability platform, Wanchain, has integrated new bridges that connect it with other leading blockchain networks. Following the integration, Wanchain will be interoperable with Moonbeam (GLMR), Moonbeam with the Polkadot Relay Chain (DOT) and Moonbeam with Moonriver (MOVR). Additionally, Wanchain has built bridges to support Moonriver’s Substrate cross-chain assets, including xcKSM, xcKAR, xcKINT, xcRMK, xcBNC, and xcKBTC. For developers of multi-chain applications, this means that Wanchain integration will allow them to open new trading routes and markets for both people and assets.
Wanchain’s blockchain mission through interoperability
As far as Wanchain goes, the new bridges are not a first step. Instead, they are continuation of its cutting-edge solutions to cross-chain interoperability. For instance, the platform built the first direct BTC-Ethereum bridge on a decentralized platform. With the addition of Layer 0 bridges, Wanchain’s goal of increasing blockchain adoption by enhancing interoperability enters a new phase. Wanchain’s common ecosystem for cross-chain interoperability intends to provide a fully decentralized cross-chain environment for all blockchains.
As part of its interoperability strategy, Wanchain is creating solutions for “Layer 0” blockchains, including Polkadot, Kusama, Ethereum, and Avalanche. Polkadot’s XCM and XCMP transport protocol are used by bridges for Moonriver’s cross-chain assets to natively deliver messages between them and the Relay Chain. However, if you’re looking for a solution that allows you to communicate with other ecosystems, this isn’t the answer.
It is now possible to utilize these assets outside the Dotsama ecosystem, thanks to Wanchain’s new bridges. This has created greater possibilities for users and developers. xcKSM will be the first to benefit from this. Moonbeam is a parachain that is part of the Polkadot network. Therefore, it benefits from the shared security and integrations with other chains connected to Polkadot. Furthermore, because of its compatibility with Ethereum, developers can easily port over their current Solidity smart contracts and DApp frontends to Moonbeam.
