TinyTap and Open Campus Team to Exhibit Blockchain Edtech at ISTE Live 2023 Conference

Animoca Brands’ TinyTap and Open Campus, the most popular edtech platform for user-created educational games, have joined forces to demonstrate the potential of gamified learning combined with blockchain technology at this year’s ISTE Live 23 Conference. The two companies will be exhibiting together at Booth #210 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from June 26-28, 2023.

ISTE Live 23 is one of the largest EdTech events of the year, attracting more than 900 partners and sponsors. Those who stop by Booth #210 will be able to see a live demonstration of the TinyTap app, and learn more about Open Campus. The event’s main sponsors are Google for Education and Microsoft. Also, T-Mobile for Education, Adobe, Meta, Samsung, Amazon, Girls Who Code, Creative Labs Inc., and many more education technology businesses will be present.

How TinyTap Works

The TinyTap app provides a platform ffor educators to design and implement game-based learning experiences in a wide range of subject areas, from mathematics and science to the natural sciences and early childhood education. You can get the app from TinyTap’s website, Google Play, or the Apple App Store.

TinyTap uses blockchain technology to provide users with a distributed learning environment that motivates students to study and inspires teachers to design more interesting lessons. Open Campus, on the other hand, is a community-driven protocol for teachers, content makers, parents, and students that has attracted the support of companies like Animoca Brands, TinyTap, GEMS Education, Liberty City Ventures, Dalton Learning Lab, and many more.

Having been acquired by Animoca Brands, TinyTap has decided to adapt its business strategy for the Web3 platform. TinyTap allows teachers to generate cash from their students’ use of their interactive lessons, even without any programming knowledge. The platform also allows users to create and share material and activities from their mobile devices and computers, with the creators receiving a cut of the earnings based on how engaged users are with the content.

Over 9 million users and $10 Million educators fund

Open Campus has now released the $10 million Global Educators Fund, which will be used to fund innovative projects that use Web3 tools and communities to enhance existing educational programmes. The fund provides financial incentives for the development of educational content such as games, slideshows, movies, and other media by certified educators and other subject matter experts. TinyTap, the first of the Open Campus launch partners, will tokenize the courses as Publisher NFTs, giving instructors full control over their work.

Yogev Shelly, CEO and founder of TinyTap, said: “This is our goal as TinyTap – to narrow the gap between learners and educators and allow them to create and share interactive educational content.”

Tutors of kids aged 2-8 make up the bulk of the app’s 9.2 million users. Over 250,000 teachers and educational publishers (including Oxford University Press, The Learning Company, and Sesame Street) contributed interactive lessons and educational games to the site.
