In a quiet forex calendar today, USDCHF traders await the SECO latest economic forecasts of the Swiss economy due at 5:45GMT. The Germany September ZEW survey current situation, and expectations will be released at 9:00GMT. ECB Supervisory Board Chair Enria will deliver a speech at 15:00.
In US forex calendar the Fed Industrial Production m/m and Fed Industrial Production y/y is due at 16:15. In Canada, the Manufacturing Sales m/m will be released at 15:30.
During the Asian trading session, the New Zealand Westpac Consumer Survey came in at 103.1 below expectations of 104 in 3Q. Australia House Price Index (QoQ) came in at -0.7%, topping forecasts of -1% in 2Q. China House Price Index came in at 8.8% in August from previous 9.7%. President Trump announced that US has reached an initial trade agreement regarding tariff barriers with Japan.
Asian indices are trading mixed today, Nikkei is adding 0.02% at 21,994, the Hang Seng gives up 1.40% at 26,738. EURUSD trades 0.12% higher at 1.1012; the USDJPY is 0.05% higher at 108.16 while the AUDUSD is 0.34% lower at 0.6840.
