CoinGecko skin is wearable in Decentraland
CoinGecko to host metaverse party
CoinGecko, one of the leading cryptocurrency data aggregators, has teamed up with Decentral Games to release a limited-edition NFT skin for the popular ICE Poker game. Furthermore, the two firms will throw a metaverse drop party. With the CoinGecko skin, users will be able to play ICE Poker and Sit & Go tournaments without spending any coins. Also, players can wear this skin and take on the persona of the recognizable CoinGecko Gecko as they travel the Decentraland metaverse.
On Wednesday, December 21, at 9 pm EST, Decentral Games and CoinGecko will co-host a drop party in the metaverse in Decentraland to celebrate the partnership and the community.
CoinGecko and the Decentral Games ICE Poker integration
As the NFT market continues to struggle under the weight of the crypto bear market, gaming is proving more resilient. The gaming sector has provided an avenue for more use cases of NFTs, creating an economy with hundreds of millions of users. As the web3 gaming ecosystem expands, we are likely to see more companies fighting for visibility in the gaming metaverse.
Decentral Games, the company behind ICE Poker, creates games and social experiences in the metaverse that attract hundreds of thousands of unique monthly visitors. CoinGecko runs Candy Reward store, which is a loyalty program where users may log in daily to accumulate loyalty points christened “candy”. They can then use the points to redeem various prizes.
Decentral Games released 10,000 ICE Poker skin NFTs on December 7. There was such high demand for the ICE Poker skin that all 10,000 were claimed in under 24 hours. This has created a strong foundation for the success of the partnership.
On Monday, December 12th, Decentral Games and CoinGecko will release an additional 10,000 ICE Poker skins in the Candy Reward store. Furthermore, on Friday, December 16, CoinGecko will airdrop all ICE Poker skins to their users. Users can visit Tominioya, a location in Decentraland, to show off their new CoinGecko skin while socializing with other users and listening to live music. The event calendar on Decentral Games provides considerably more information.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Geckos at the ICE Poker tables and welcoming the CoinGecko community into Decentral Games and the metaverse.” said Miles Anthony, CEO of Decentral Games.
