Art Dubai Makes A Comeback With Bybit As A Lead Partner

Fast-rising cryptocurrency exchange, ByBit, has revealed that it will be participating in the Art Dubai 2022 global showcase at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. Art Dubai is resuming after a three-year hiatus. Bybit will be the Lead Partner of the show’s newly-introduced digital art segment, Art Dubai Digital. The integration of digital art in one of the world’s biggest art conventions epitomizes its growing adoption and acceptance.

Importantly, Art Dubai Digital will provide a platform for artists and creatives to interact. Also they can share and exchange ideas on the place of digital art in the modern world. Notably, Art Dubai Digital has lined up 17 presentations across traditional and purely digital art genres. Ultimately, the aim is to help push the boundaries of digital art. Also, it will provide a platform for under-recognized but talented artists.

Art lovers attending the art fair can also look forward to an exciting time. The Bybit NFT marketplace will be availing exclusive NFT collections from 15 participating galleries. Some of the participating collectibles and artists include MIRL (Made in Real Life), Viia Yeon, Oscar Oiwa, Yeo Ziyang Wu Song Ting, Maruchef and Hyuck. Others are S.R Innovation Lab, Huang Joo, Saule Dyussenbina, SIM_Moby, Yasuo Nomura, and Kevin Heisner.

More than an art showcase

In addition to the art displays and collectibles, Art Dubai Digital will be having an interactive forum for artists and creatives, dubbed Bybit Talks. Specifically, it aims to facilitate dialogue on the place of art in Web 3, the NFT ecosystem, and the available opportunities.

Igneus Terrenus, Head of Communications at Bybit, lauded Art Dubai for integrating digital art in this year’s fair. Additionally, he stated that Art Dubai had offered new and talented artists from under-represented regions the opportunity to showcase their works at the highest level. On his part, Pablo del Val, Artistic Director of Art Dubai, appreciated the setup of this year’s show. He lauded the integration of a digital segment, traditional art and an interactive/educational platform.

Shumon Basar, Commissioner, Global Art Forum, added, “In the two and a half dimension, digital artifacts and crypto economies are as real or unreal as anything else”.
