Animoca Brands Partners with Coincheck to Spur Growth in Japan

Animoca Brands, one of the biggest names in the game industry, Animoca Brands, has partnered with Coincheck, a digital asset exchange and NFT marketplace established in Japan, to further expand the Web3 market in that country. Per the terms of the deal, Animoca Brands, a blockchain gaming producer, will be in charge of IP and content creation. Coincheck, on the other hand, will be responsible for marketing and expanding the Coincheck community in Japan.

What’s in the deal?

Animoca Brands is an industry pioneer in digital entertainment and blockchain gamification, and its extensive catalogue of products includes the groundbreaking The Sandbox. On the other hand, with the release of Coincheck NFT in March 2021, Coincheck became the first corporation to create its own NFT marketplace. From now on, it will actively promote NFT projects from Animoca Brands’ affiliated and portfolio firms through its marketplace in an effort to revitalize the project ecosystem as a whole.

Animoca brands plans to expand its portfolio in Japan by utilizing Coincheck’s market capabilities, which the company believes would help it expand its current customer base. However, this is not the first time the two businesses have worked together. Through working together on various open metaverse initiatives, they have developed a close and trustworthy relationship. Also, several Animoca Brands NFT products, such as LAND NFTs in The Sandbox and Otherdeed NFTs, are already available for purchase on the Coincheck NFT marketplace.

The partnership between the two companies will continue in an effort to increase widespread usage in Japan. As a top crypto asset and NFT exchange, Coincheck is a crucial strategic partner for Animoca Brands. Animoca Brands, in particular, plans to connect NFT and other token projects with the Japanese market in order to propel the Web3 sector. In addition, they hope to establish communities where creators and users can interact.
