Edge & Node Launches ampersend, a Platform for Managing Agentic AI

Summary:
  • Built by the same team behind The Graph, ampersend is to help the industry adopt and scale open standards for decentralized agent ecosystems.

Edge & Node, the team behind The Graph, is releasing ampersend, a management platform for agent payments and operations that uses Coinbase’s x402 payment protocol and Google’s A2A framework. The platform is designed to facilitate the widespread use of open standards in decentralized agent ecosystems and their subsequent scalability.

Edge & Node has been working with Coinbase, Google, and the Ethereum Foundation’s dAI team to help develop basic standards like x402 for payments and ERC-8004 for finding agents and building their reputations. Ampersend connects these innovative concepts into one working system.

What Does ampersend Bring?

The proliferation of AI and blockchain ecosystems has led to the emergence of autonomous agents, which are capable of conducting transactions, communicating, and collaborating on their own. But there is no standard way to handle these interactions right now. Agent activities are still fragmented, invisible, and difficult to manage on a large scale.

The State of Crypto 2025 report by a16z predicts that AI agents will be responsible for $30 trillion in purchases by 2030. However, no economic framework is in place to support them. Ampersend fixes this by adding the missing management layer to the new agent economy.

It adds observability, automation, and compliance-ready controls to Coinbase’s x402 payment protocol and Google’s A2A communication standard. The end product is a single dashboard that shows how agents work together, sets rules, keeps track of budgets, and makes sure everything works as it should.

Key Highlights:

  • Extends x402 and A2A with visibility, automation, and observability
  • Developed following years of research and protocol development by the same group that brought you The Graph
  • Compatible with the new agent discovery standard on Ethereum, ERC-8004 • Set for launch at Pragma Buenos Aires on November 20

On October 30th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. PST, Edge & Node will hold a virtual event on X spaces with Coinbase, Google, and Ethereum. The event is titled “Powering the Agentic Economy” and will discuss how x402, A2A, and ERC-8004 are changing the future of the agentic economy. Rodrigo Coehlho, CEO, Edge & Node, will also officially announce ampersend, and then there will be an AMA.
