Binance Labs Invests $15 Million In AI-Focused Gaming Platform, Xterio
The Binance venture capital arm, Binance Labs, has announced a $15 million investment in Xterio, a developer of blockchain-based video games. As a Web3 game platform and publisher, the firm uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) toolkits to unite free-to-play and on-chain gaming across a wide variety of original and licenced titles. Eleven games, ranging from strategy MMOs to cross-platform sandbox RPGs to fighting games, are currently advertised on the “beta” website of the gaming startup.

Binance will back Xterio in their efforts to offer cutting-edge digital entertainment, driven by AI and digital ownership, to people all over the world. Xterio will use the funding it has raised to accelerate the creation of games it has incubated and to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into its advances in technology.

Digital collectibles sold on Xterio’s online marketplace will also be a part of this system. With this funding, Xterio’s in-house game projects and those of its partners will move forward faster. To improve its Web3 distribution platform and ecosystem, Xterio promotes the development of original, high-quality intellectual properties.
Binance Labs’ long-term optimism about the Web3 gaming industry is seen in their significant investment in Xterio. Currently, the gaming company is hard at work on an AI toolset that will generate consistent 2D and 3D assets fit for production and have a “emotion engine for artificial intelligence.”
