In the US calendar we have the Housing Starts and Building Permits which will be released at 12:30GMT. The Michigan Consumer Sentiment, Michigan Consumer Expectations and Michigan Current Conditions are all due at 14:00GMT.
Oil traders await the OPEC Monthly Oil Market Report to be released at 11:00GMT while the Baker Hughes US Oil Rig Count is due at 17:00GMT.
The central bank of China has set the Yuan reference rate at 7.0312, up from Thursday’s fix of 7.0268.
New Zealand Business NZ PMI came in at 48.2 below expectations of 51.8 in July.
