Summary:
  • KSNET serves more than 330k merchants across Korea, enabling nearly USD $4 billion in transaction volume per month.

Crypto.com and KSNET have announced a partnership to facilitate crypto payments for international travelers through Crypto.com. Thanks to the collaboration, travelers to South Korea will be able to use cryptocurrency in thousands of duty-free, fashion, and cosmetic shops around the country.

Already, one of Korea’s most popular tourist locations, Jeju, currently accepts Crypto.com Visa Cards as payment for public bus rides, both digitally and in physical form. By teaming up with Crypto.com, KSNET aims to enhance its presence in Korea’s payment market and broaden payment options for international tourists.

The partnership brings a more convenient, faster and cheaper payment option to consumers and businesses. The number of people using the Crypto.com App is steadily rising, and with Crypto.com Pay, merchants can accept cryptocurrency payments with reduced transaction fees.

Founded in 1999, KSNET has grown into one of the leading financial service providers in Korea and the country’s most comprehensive payment provider. Its network has over 330,000 merchants, and processes about 130 million transactions monthly, with roughly $4 billion worth of transaction volume.
