IG Group Hires 30-Year Veteran to Lead US Marketing Business

IG Group, the leading forex, CFD, and options company, hired a new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for its American business. 

IG Group hiring continues

In a statement this week, IG Group announced that Catherine Davis will become the new CMO for its American business. She will report to the company’s regional CEO for the company’s American business. 

In this position, Davis will leverage her experience and expertise to grow the company’s American business. Precisely, she will lead the company’s online brokerage known as tastyworks and its financial content platform known as tastytrade. IG Group bought tastytrade in 2021 in a $1 billion deal.

Catherine Davis has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has worked for companies like Morgan Stanley, Harris Direct, Discover, and Diageo. Most importantly, she has also received several awards for her excellence. In a statement. IG said:

 “Catherine shares our passion to reinvent the trading experience for the self-directed trader and our drive to break new ground every day with our original content, education resources, and industry-leading trading platform.”

IG Group has been growing

IG Group has been in a hiring spree in the past few months. This week, the company said that it hire Tobias Stohr to be the head of sales in Germany. He will be based in Frankfurt and will help the company grow in one of its important markets. Stohr moved from Spectrum Markets, which is IG Group’s subsidiary.

And last month, Robert van Eyden joined the company as the new CEO for its South African business. It hopes that these hires will help the company accelerate its growth. As we reported, IG Group’s revenue jumpd by 16% in the first half of the year. Its pre-tax profit rose to 477 million pounds and launched a 150 million share repurchase program.
