A Look at MetaQuotes’ New MT5 Web Terminal

MetaQuotes, the manufacturer of trading software, has unveiled a new web terminal for its MetaTrader 5 platform. The move comes hot on the heels of a ban on its MT5 and MT4 trading platforms by Apple’s App store. The company maintains that the ban is unrelated to Western sanctions against Russia for the conflict in Ukraine. According to Apple, the ban was prompted by the two software’s “failure to comply with the App Store guidelines”. Nonetheless, MT5 and MT4 software are still among the most popular trading platforms in the world.

According to MetaQuotes, their new web terminal does not require additional program installations, so traders may use it with any web browser, regardless of the operating system. This means that many users who may have been disenfranchised by the App Store now have an alternative avenue to keep trading effectively. Businesses with active web terminal licenses can update their servers with the new version at no cost. If not, they can get a license by contacting tech support.

What’s new on MetaQuotes’ new MT5 Web terminal?

Web terminal enhancements include:

  • Streamlined setting of symbols in the Market Watch, along with daily price change data;
  • Subscription support for price data and the option to receive delayed quotes;
  • The ability to request real accounts, complete with a comprehensive registration process and document submission options.
  • Market entries and exits on chart displays.
  • More analytical objects with additional options
  • Charts with Economic Calendar display.
  • Simplified UI with an option for dark mode

According to MetaQuotes, the new platform is more powerful and efficient than before, thanks to its updated user interface and revamped architecture. The significant update makes it possible for the web terminal to function on the access server of each broker individually rather than on a centralized server.

The firm also guarantees the web terminal’s security by encrypting all data in transit. It is a standalone web terminal that communicates exclusively with the platform of one particular broker. This offers the broker the highest level of safety while also giving them complete control.
